Tom Hutchins
Vice President, Environmental, Health and Safety, Kinder Morgan Natural Gas Pipelines
Thomas Hutchins is Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety for Kinder Morgan’s Natural Gas business. Mr. Hutchins graduated from New Mexico State University (NMSU) with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree. He started his career as a Field Engineer building pipelines and compressor stations for El Paso Natural Gas, one of Kinder Morgan’s interstate pipelines. After working for several years, he received a Master of Business Administration to provide additional business acumen. He also worked as a project engineer and project manager for the International Boundary & Water Commission. During the years of industry diversification he led EH&S organizations supporting chemical plants, refineries, power plants and coal mines.
Mr. Hutchins has been active in the industry serving in leadership positions with the INGAA’s EH&S Committee, Southern Gas Association’s Environmental Committee and AGA’s Safety & Health Committee, Environmental Matters Committee and Environmental Regulatory Action Committee. He is Kinder Morgan’s board member on the INGAA Foundation, the past chair of the INGAA Foundation and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
