Kathryn Clay
President, International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA)
Kathryn Clay is the president of the International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA), the only trade association to advocate exclusively for the tanks and terminals industry. She came to ILTA from the American Gas Association, where she served as vice president policy at the American Gas Association since 2013. Clay also served concurrently as the executive director of the American Gas Foundation, a position she held since joining AGA in 2011. Her initial responsibilities at AGA included serving as executive director of the Drive Natural Gas Initiative, a joint project of natural gas utilities and gas producers.
Prior to joining AGA, Clay was vice president for research and technology policy at the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. She was a member of the professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources from 2005 to 2008. She also served on the professional staff of the Energy Subcommittee of the House Committee on Science from 2003 to 2005.
Kathryn holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
