Don Lemoine
Vice President, Gas Monetization, Kiewit Energy Group
Donald Lemoine serves as Vice President, Gas Monetization for Kiewit Energy Group, Inc., the Houston-based arm of Kiewit Corporation, one of the nation’s largest and most respected contractors. Donald leads Kiewit in LNG project strategies, negotiations, owner relations, partnering agreements, and long-term planning. His influence in securing LNG contracts is one factor that helped Kiewit earn a top five position among petroleum contractors in ENR’s 2014 rankings.
With 40 years of oil and gas industry experience, Donald has been with Kiewit and its subsidiary, TIC – The Industrial Company, for 25 years. He started with TIC in Steamboat Springs, Colorado as an estimator in 1989 and steadily progressed into procurement, operations sponsor, business development, and district management roles. Donald transferred to Houston as a TIC vice president for the company’s Gulf Coast business in 1998. His analytical skills in developing EPC and design-build project models ensured success for owners and contractor alike.
Upon TIC’s acquisition by Kiewit in 2008, Donald transferred to Kiewit Power in Lenexa, Kansas. He returned to Houston two years later, promoted to vice president for midstream business development. He now focuses on gas monetization opportunities. Among his LNG successes, Donald counts Cove Point LNG Export Terminal Project, a confidential peak shaver liquefaction project, and FEED studies for Jordan Cove LNG Export and Kitimat LNG Facility (Chevron). A Fortune 500 company, Kiewit earned 2014 revenues of $10.4 billion, with oil, gas, and chemical markets comprising the greatest share. Kiewit’s workforce numbers 11,350 core staff and 14,350 skilled craft throughout North America and Australia.
