Chris Tucker
Team Lead, Energy in Depth
Chris Tucker is a Senior Managing Director for FTI Consulting and team lead for the national shale gas education and advocacy initiative known as Energy In Depth.
As part of his duties, Chris serves as a third-party spokesman and ad hoc investor relations officer for more than 30 individual shale gas operators and affiliated trade associations, regularly leading investor calls on the impacts of an ever-evolving regulatory regime on producers operating in the mid-Atlantic states, in particular. In that vein, Chris is also a senior advisor to the Pennsylvania-based Marcellus Shale Coalition, which itself represents more than 300 companies active in the region.
Prior to joining the team at FTI, Chris spent almost a decade on Capitol Hill, and most recently as a senior advisor and speechwriter to the House Minority Whip. Previous to that position, Chris served as a communications and policy staffer for a leading member of the House Resources Committee active on oil and gas issues, and later, as the chief spokesman for the House Energy Action Team (HEAT).
Over the past four years, Chris has adapted the EID model to design, develop and launch several other campaign-style, oil-and-gas related rapid response initiatives all around the world, most recently in Canada and Europe.
As EID’s lead spokesman, Chris has become a frequent contributor to the tight oil and gas debate at the state, national and international levels – appearing on CNN, BBC, MSNBC, FOX News, and Al Jazeera, and on television and radio in Canada, Poland, Romania, Germany, the Czech Republic, Australia, China and Japan, to name a few.
Prior to joining FTI, Chris served for nearly a decade as an energy and communications advisor for several senior members of the U.S. Congress, including the House Minority Whip. A proud native of rural, northeast Pennsylvania, Chris is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
