Avik Dey

Managing Director, Head of Energy and Resources, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB)

Avik is Managing Director, Head of Energy & Resources for Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. He also serves as a member of the Real Assets Investment Committee.  Prior to joining CPPIB, Avik was President & CEO of Remvest Energy Partners in Houston, USA. Previously, he was a Founder and served as Chief Financial Officer of Remora Energy. He has been active in the global energy sector since 1999 with roles across industry, private equity and investment banking. 

Avik currently serves on the boards of Seven Generations Energy, Calpine Corporation and Enactus Canada.  Previously, Avik was a co-founder of Coyotes Management LLC, the General Partner for the Arizona Coyotes Hockey Club between 2013 and 2017. In 2017, Avik was named one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40.  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Calgary.
