Nicholas Potter
Vice President Commodities- Natural Gas/ LNG, Barclays Investment Bank
Nicholas Potter is a Vice President on the Commodities Research team at Barclays. Based in New York, Mr. Potter is responsible for the bank’s views on US and global natural gas and LNG markets. Mr. Potter joined Barclays in May 2015 from Poten & Partners, an industry consulting firm specializing in LNG. While there, he was a Senior Consultant in charge of the firm’s global LNG market view where he worked directly with a number of International and national oil companies, ship owners, financial institutions, and government agencies. Prior to his role at Poten, Mr. Potter was a Research Associate at Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) in Moscow and Boston. At CERA, he focused on market analysis, scenario planning, strategy development, and foreign policy analysis relating to upstream and midstream energy investment, specifically in the global gas markets. Mr. Potter holds a BA in Russian Area Studies and Political Science from Wheaton College and completed course work at Moscow International University.
