Dr. Shaikh serves as the Senior Policy Advisor on Energy at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6. His responsibilities include coordination with intra– and extramural stakeholders on energy related projects, planning and evaluation of energy related programs, and providing insights on energy policies. Taim got his start at EPA in the Water Division focusing on Clean Water Act 303(d) programs. Before joining EPA, Taim worked for the Kentucky Division for Air Quality as the supervisor of the Air Toxics section where he and his section focused on air quality modeling, NSR permitting and risk assessment. Taim holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in inorganic chemistry and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Central Arkansas.
