Brian Woodard joined Mewbourne Oil Company in 2022, serving as the Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs. In this role, he is responsible for actively engaging in key regulatory and legislative matters pertaining to Mewbourne Oil’s exploration and production activities throughout the company’s operating footprint and in Washington D.C. Mr. Woodard also acts as a lead liaison on local stakeholder engagement efforts.

Prior to joining Mewbourne, Brian held roles with two of the nation’s leading publicly traded independent exploration and production companies where he specialized in government & regulatory affairs along with ESG and IR related initiatives. Additionally, Mr. Woodard served as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for a state-based oil and gas trade association in which he led the organization’s regulatory advocacy efforts in both the state and federal regulatory arenas.

Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science – Policy from Oklahoma State University. Brian and his wife Julie, along with their three children, currently reside in Edmond, Oklahoma.
