Born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. He’s an engineer graduated from the Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas, where, he specialized in electrical engineering. He also studied a course of Power Systems Engineering with General Electric Company. Marco Antonio has over 50 years of experience in the electrical sector. He has worked for several government agencies. In the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), he held different positions such as General Manager of the “Golfo Norte” Division, in Nuevo León; in the Ministry of Energy where he worked as Director for Standardization and Supervision of Electrical Installations; in the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), Mexicos´FERC, where he supported the development of regulatory instruments for private energy suppliers and generators; and, in the latter, the National Energy Control Center (CENACE), with the energy reform, he advised the Chief Executive Officer on various matters related to the implementation of the Electricity Industry Law and Market Rules. Moreover, he has worked in diverse government agencies such as the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation and the Mexican Social Security Institute, where, in addition to having worked as a Regional Delegate, coordinated La Raza Medical Center works. In the private sector, functioned as General Manager at DIMSA Consultores, corporation located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, which core business is the construction of electrical installations and advisory to companies. As of December 1st, of 2018, he serves as Chief Executive Officer of CFE Calificados, CFE’s Qualified Supplier Afilliated, leader of the segment of big consumers in the Wholesale Electricity Mexican market.
