Víctor Hugo Luque Salcedo has 22 years of experience in the financial sector focused on banking, insurance, and energy. Up to April 2019, he was the Managing Director of State-Owned Enterprises in the Ministry of Energy, where he analyzed business plans, realized financial valuations and evaluated the overall impact of several projects for investors interested in the Mexican energy sector.
The past 5 years, he was a member of the Board in the three most important Mexican development Banks (BANOBRAS, NAFIN and BANCOMEXT), the Electricity Federal Commission (CFE) and the National Housing Commission (CONAVI).
He was Managing Director of Financial Planning in NEXTEL supporting the M&A for AT&T, Strategic Planning Director and Mortgage Insurance Director in the Mortgage Federal Society (SHF) where he was in charge of the analysis of different credit and guarantees offered by this development bank, and was responsible for the beginning of operations of SHF´s Insurance Subsidiary. Before that, he was Deputy Actuarial Director in the National Commission of Insurance and Surety, and Consultant in Research and Development of Projects (Mercer Consulting/Oliver Wyman).
He holds a BSc in Actuarial Mathematics from ITAM, an MBA of Tulane University, Master of Applied Finance of Macquarie University, and he has 15 years of teaching at ITAM (Corporate Finance, Investments, Markets and Financial Instruments).
