[:en]Pablo Zárate leads FTI Consulting´s Strategic Communications Energy practice in the Mexico City office. Besides leading the team’s analysis of the Mexican energy reform and its opportunities—his analysis, opinions and commentaries have been extensively published by both Mexican and international media, such as Bloomberg, Forbes, Energy and Environment (E&E), Rigzone, Reforma, Excelsior, among others—Mr. Zárate has provided services and advice to a broad range of clients and accounts, ranging from the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and the Producers for American Crude Exports (PACE) coalition, to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, Noble Energy, and Hess Corporation, among others. He has also advised clients on high-profile Latin American political crisis cases.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Zárate served as advisor and lead speechwriter to the Secretary of Energy of Mexico Jordy Herrera— as well as advisor to the Undersecretary of Energy Planning Carlos Petersen. In the political consulting arena, Mr. Zárate has advised candidates and incumbents at the state and local level throughout Mexico. He holds an M.A. in Media and Public Affairs from The George Washington University, a B.A. in Economics from ITAM, and a B.A. in Political Science from ITAM.[:]
