David Madero
Director, Energy Solutions, Acclaim Energy Mexico
David Madero is an economist with more than 25 years of experience in public finance, macroeconomics, and public policy, with an emphasis in energy and oil and gas. He holds a bachelor’s degree from ITAM and master’s degree and PhD in economics from UCLA.
He is currently a Director for Energy Consulting Practice at Acclaim Energy Services in Mexico. Immediately before he founded the National Center for Natural Gas Control (CENAGAS) and was its CEO during a four-year period during which firm-based capacity contracts were successfully placed on the integrated natural gas pipeline system and operations and control of the infrastructure were transferred. Before, his past responsibilities include Chief Financial and Management Officer at the Treasury´s Service for Asset Management and Disposal, and Credit Director at the national development bank for infrastructure (Banobras). He also held several senior management positions in the Ministry of Energy overseeing upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas activities and participating within the PEMEX Board of Directors.
David Madero has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential leaders in Mexican energy and enjoys living in Mexico City.
