As part of the City Series, Energy Dialogues LLC and Canadian academic partner, Mount Royal University’s Institute for Environmental Sustainability, held a conversation
on June 23rd, 2022, to discuss energy transition and achieving net zero in Canada.
The event focused on discussions about pathways to Canada’s net zero by 2050 goal, the evolution of the Canadian hydrogen economy, the power of electrification and the challenges of energy transition.

- Canada can play a leading role in providing the world with needed energy, responsibly.
- Favorable policies, technology advancements and shifting company mindsets are contributing to the execution of net zero objectives.
- Net zero does not mean zero fossil fuel production but responsible production with lower emissions and a broader systemic approach.
- Hydrogen along with carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) will be at the at the forefront of hard to abate sectors.
