Jon Yellen is the Managing Director of Yellen and Co., an independent capital and strategy advisory practice focused on infrastructure development, project finance, conventional and alternative energy, and industrial decarbonization.  Until recently, Jon was a Director with Climate Investment (CI), where he originated, executed, and managed venture and growth equity stage investments in businesses that reduce, recycle and store greenhouse gases associated with heavy emitting sectors. At CI Jon served as a Board Director for Qnergy and a Shareholder Representative for Quail Run Carbon and helped raise CI’s new growth equity fund. Jon’s work at CI followed a 25-year career in investment banking, specializing in infrastructure and energy, where he completed transactions valued in excess of $50 billion at Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Mizuho, and Coady Diemar Partners. Prior to working in financial services, Jon was an infantry officer in the US Marine Corps. He received an AB in economics and Japanese from the University of Michigan and an MBA in finance and entrepreneurial management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Jon is based in San Diego.
