Jonathan Yellen

Jon Yellen is a Director in the Investment Team, where he focuses on growth equity stage structured capital and investments in real asset platforms and business models that reduce, recycle and store greenhouse gas emissions from large industrial facilities and high-emitting sectors. Joining Climate Investment in 2021, Jon brings to Climate Investment more than 25 years of experience raising and deploying capital and providing strategic advice for infrastructure projects and their owners. Jon is a Board member of CI portfolio company, Qnergy, and a Board observer for Quail Run Carbon. Having completed transactions valued in excess of $50 billion at Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Mizuho, and Coady Diemar Partners, a significant focus throughout his career has been on energy transition companies, including those employing new technologies and business models. Prior to working in financial services, Jon was an infantry officer in the US Marine Corps. He received an AB in economics and Japanese from the University of Michigan and an MBA in finance and entrepreneurial management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Jon is based in San Diego.
