Ami Arief joined Tellurian in 2017 and is responsible for upstream’s engineering, operations, planning and geoscience teams. Ami has over 22 years experience in the energy industry where she has spent the majority of it in North America unconventional shale play development. Prior to Tellurian, she was vice president of Impact Natural Resources, a private upstream company she co-started. She has worked in various technical and leadership roles with Exxon Mobil, Goldman Sachs and Southwestern Energy where she managed a multi discipline team drilling over 200 horizontal wells/ year and production of over 2 Bcf/d from 3000+ horizontal wells, as well as being part of a core team that created the framework to achieve freshwater neutral. Ami has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.A. in French from Virginia Tech, and an MBA from the University of Houston. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers where she has served in several committees.
