Martha Crawford is a board director and advisor working with international private equity
groups to build out environmental infrastructure portfolios in the United States. She brings unique insight to due diligence teams on low-carbon energies and technological scale-up, and on environmental sustainability and governance.

Based in Paris from 1997 to 2016, Martha led global R&D and product development operations for French multinational corporations in the energy and chemicals sectors. Working with Macquarie Asset Management and Partners Group today, Martha is leveraging her successful career in France (Chief Technology Officer for Areva (now Orano and Air Liquide).

In these CTO roles, Martha led international Research & Development operations on a wide range of decarbonization technologies, including: Hydrogen production and use for energy storage or propulsion, construction of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) for power plants and blast furnaces, optimization of large scale solar and offshore wind farms,
optimization of Fischer-Tropsch and pyrolysis processes to make sustainable fuels from
waste products.

When she moved back to the US in 2016, Martha taught at Harvard Business School. She
taught the core course “Leadership and Corporate Accountability,” which focuses on
business ethics, board governance and corporate responsibility. She also developed and
taught an elective course, “Energy in the 21st Century,” which surveyed how decarbonization and digitalization are transforming markets and business models in the energy sector.

Martha began working as an Operating Partner with Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) in 2021, and with Partners Group (PG) in 2022. In both cases, she is helping to acquire, structure and grow portfolio companies in environmental infrastructure, mainly related to the circular economy and decarbonization of the energy supply.

Martha holds MS and PhD degrees in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from
Harvard University (1997), where she was a National Science Foundation Fellow. She holds an MBA from the French College des Ingénieurs (1998). Martha earned an executive
education Certificate in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Columbia Business School in 2022.

Martha is divorced and enjoys hiking and skiing with her three young-adult children.
