[:en]Graduate from the law school of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and L.L.M. of Law in International Tax, from the George Washington University.

His professional experience since 1991 has been mainly focused in the area of tax law. He joined the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, where he worked as Director of Treaty Negotiations, and later on as coordinator of advising of the General Director of International Affairs, participating in some issues related with the Mexican tax reform. Later he became part of the Mexico’s Tax Administration Service in which he served as Director of International Administrative Resolutions.

Then he founded Grupo Lana S.C. where he has been the Managing partner up to now. In this charge, he has participated as speaker and member in various forums in Mexico and abroad.

Since 2005, he has been involved in the energy sector, serving as advisor -for Public and Private Companies- in renewable power generating projects and energy efficiency projects. Additionally, he is part of the Mexican Council on Renewable Energies serving as Vice President for the Energy Commission of the National Industrial Chamber (CANACINTRA).[:]
