Senior Manager, Climate and Energy, Oil and Gas Ceres

Mara Abbott is the senior manager on the oil and gas team at Ceres, working with investors and companies to address the risks and advance the opportunities associated with climate, sustainability, and the energy future. Previously, as an award-winning journalist, Mara reported on the energy and natural resources from her current home in northeastern Wyoming. Her writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal and USA Today, among other publications. A former professional road cyclist, Mara is a U.S. Olympian, a multi-time elite national champion, and a two-time winner of the women’s Giro d’Italia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Whitman College.
