Jeff Stein
Senior Policy Advisor, API
Jeff Stein is a Senior Policy Advisor in the American Petroleum Institute’s Natural Gas Markets group. At API he leads domestic power and gas market policy and is part of a cross-functional team leading API’s promotion of low-carbon fuels such as hydrogen and sustainably produced natural gas.
Prior to joining API, Jeff worked in various policy and consulting roles covering energy, economics, and foreign affairs. He most recently worked with a global energy consulting firm on macroeconomic research and forecasting for clients in the refining sector. He also previously worked at AIPAC and at David Gardiner & Associates, an energy policy firm where he worked on electric transmission regulations and clean energy legislation.
Jeff lives in Washington, DC and holds an MA from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin.
