Guy Braden is Senior Vice President, Commercial of GDF SUEZ Gas North America (GSGNA), a subsidiary of the London-based GDF SUEZ Energy International. GSGNA is a leading importer of liquefied natural gas into the U.S. through its Everett Marine Terminal in Everett, Mass., the Neptune Deepwater Port off the coast of Gloucester, Mass., and EcoElectrica LNG regas and power generation facility in Penuelas, Puerto Rico. Mr. Braden joined GDF SUEZ in August 2002 as a Vice President and founding member of the management team tasked with the startup of GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA. Mr. Braden was responsible for both Supply and Operations as this business unit moved from its startup phase to becoming one of the largest Commercial & Industrial power suppliers in the United States. Mr. Braden joined GDF SUEZ from Dynegy where he held various positions within the Energy Services and Marketing and Trading divisions. Before joining Dynegy in 1998, Mr. Braden worked within a polypropylene manufacturing unit of Exxon Chemical Americas. Mr. Braden began his career as a nuclear submarine officer stationed in Norfolk, Va. Mr. Braden holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the United States Naval Academy.
