Mr. Mario Gabriel Budebo obtained his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He obtained a masters degree and pursued PhD studies, both in Economics, at UCLA.

He is founder and currently partner and CEO of Mexico Infrastructure Partners, a company that manages funds, aimed to the Energy and Infrastructure sectors in Mexico, under the name of EXI Funds.

Mr. Gabriel Budebo has made must of his professional career in the Mexican Government, designing public policies in several areas such as taxation, development banking, public finance, pension regulation and hydrocarbons.

He has held relevant positions in the Mexican Government, such as Undersecretary for Hydrocarbons, President of the National Pension Commission, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Finance, Director General for Development Banks, and Director General for Revenue Policy.

Mr. Gabriel has participated as Board Member in Petróleos Mexicanos and its four subsidiaries, as well as in Nacional Financiera, Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos, National Banking Commission, National Insurance Commission. He was also President of the International Association of Pension Regulators.

Mr. Gabriel was awarded with the National Banamex Prize on Economics, Tlacaélel Prize on Economic Consulting and received the Professional Merit Award from ITAM.
