Alfredo Alvarez

Energy Segment Leader – Mexico & Central America, EY Mexico

Alfredo is EY Mexico’s Energy Segment Leader. He is a Partner at the New York and Mexico City offices, with a specialization in international tax services and the Energy Sector, and has extensive experience in the Latin American region.

From January 1995 to May 2002, Alfredo formed part of Arthur Andersen’s Tax Department in the México City office. From June 2002 to March 2011, he was part of Deloitte’s Tax Department in Mexico City. He became a Tax Partner in June 2003, and was the Leader for International Taxes and Clients and Markets for the Latin American

From May 2011 to August 2014, Alfredo was a Tax Partner of Ernst & Young US LLP, based out of the Mexico City and New York Offices, and headed up the Latin American Business Center (New York, Chicago, Houston, Miami and London Offices).

Alfredo is currently the Leader of the Energy Segment for EY Mexico, which includes Oil & Gas, Power and Utilities and Mining.
