CLNG Report Launch: “LNG and Coal Life Cycle Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions”

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) will launch its new report, “LNG and Coal Life Cycle Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions,” at the 2015 North American Gas Forum in Washington, D.C.

The Pace Global authored study compares the GHG emissions from coal generated electrical power, against those from U.S. produced LNG in five key international markets. Evaluating emissions from the full LNG life cycle it also provides a detailed breakdown of the most carbon intensive elements of the process.

The report will be launched at a panel discussion with report author Jay Balasubramanian, CLNG spokesperson Casey O’Shea and Paul Sibal, CLNG Technical Committee Chair on October 5.

Following the panel, a conference call will be held at 3pm, for those members of the media unable to attend in person. A copy of the study will be available to download from the LNG Facts website from 4pm on October 5.
